the world. We seek out new resources and innovative 
ideas to maximize the effectiveness of teaching, 
learning, and research. We work with faculty, students, 
and staff, as well as with visitors from the U.S. 
and many foreign nations.
Scanning & OCR
The Humanities Computing Laboratory is dedicated to promoting global standards in the encoding, exchange, and preservation of written and spoken language data. We provide tools which address the common needs of scholars in the humanities, the natural sciences, and the social sciences for capturing, typing, and displaying complex language characters and scientific symbols.
